Arrival to Lisbon airport. Transfer to the hotel. Welcome drink & Portuguese tapas.

Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Evora, Roman Temple and the Bone Chapel. Cooking class with top chef with lunch and wine. Visit local tapestry artisan. Meal plan: B, L
Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage site
UNESCO calls it the city museum. Palaces, convents and medieval buildings tell us 20 centuries of stories. The typical whitewashed houses, the tiles and the iron balconies create a beautiful scenery that influenced the Brazilian architecture in places like Salvador da Bahia.
Roman temple
The ruins of the forum remain here as a vestige of the roman occupation and date back to the 1st AD. They are part of the historical center of Évora, that UNESCO has recognized as World Heritage.
Bone Chapel
Walls and columns built with human bones make this an unique chapel. Created by 16th century monks, these little chapel show us in each corner the transient nature of life. We will visit and know more about its interesting story.
Cooking class
Learn to cook real Portuguese food with a chef that knows all Portuguese cuisine's tricks. This is a cooking class where everyone participates in the process of creating the dish. It starts by choosing some of the seasonal ingredients in the chef's organic vegetable garden, and continues in the kitchen of a 19th century mansion.
Visit to typical tapestry artisan
Arraiolos tapestry is a century-old art that has passed from generation to generation of women. You will see how these traditional rugs are produced, seeing experienced hands create the beautiful designs right in front of you.
Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Day tour of Lisbon including Belém, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos. Lunch in traditional restaurant. Continue visit to Alfama & Old Lisbon. Port tasting with tapas. Meal plan: B, L, tapas
Belém
This is the place where the portuguese navigators started their journey in the seas. It celebrates their bravery and their amazing discoveries with beautiful monuments. And, of course, we have the fantastic Tagus river right there.
Mosteiro dos Jerónimos & Torre de Belém
Both these sites are UNESCO World Heritage monuments. Though it took a century to complete, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos is now the most celbrated monastery in Portugal. Here lies the body of Vasco da Gama and you will be amazed by the beauty of the church adjoining this 16th century monastery. We will also see Torre de Belém, that boats the first representation of a rhino in Europe.
Lunch
Lunch is in a great restaurant with typical food and Portuguese wines as well as pastel de Belém. Great Portuguese food and even better wines with our hosts, food and wine specialists, telling us more about the special flavours we are going to experience. To finish, a cake that The Guardian featured in its top 20 things to taste in the world.
Walking tour of Lisbon
Visit the historical center and some great hidden places that you shouldn’t
miss, explore Alfama and enjoy a tram ride. Old trams have been a trademark of Lisbon for decades. Preserved along the years, they offer an unique way of
seeing the city and we will get inside one to enjoy an interesting ride. In Alfama, we will discover Old Lisbon, with its labyrinthine streets and clothes hanging in the windows. The Lisbon we will visit this afternoon doesn’t feature in travel guides.
Port tasting
Premium Port tasting with Portuguese tapas, accompanied by a sommelier. Taste 5 Port wines, including a 20 year old and a vintage, opened with fire, the old ritual that will surprise you. At the table, great cheese and pata negra ham, among other classic Portuguese products. And our sommelier will tell you more about each wine and answer all your questions.
Day 4
Breakfast. Visit Óbidos and its markets. Lunch. Winery tour and tasting. Return to Lisbon. Relax. Fado show and dinner. Meal plan: B, L, D
Óbidos
We start at the old Caldas da Rainha market. Fruit, vegetable, flowers. We have all here, but we will make this visit even more special by tasting the local cheeses and olives. Lunch in typical restaurant. Light meal. We will have tapas and wines.
Winery tour
In an old mansion with centuries of traditions, we will see how the wine is produced and visit the garden, the vineyards and the cellars. Then, a tasting session with 7 Portuguese wines.
Fado evening
Fado night in typical fado house, with live fado show, cod, Portuguese wine and dessert. Fado is the Portuguese equivalent of soul music and dates back to the 1820s. It is an intense and emotional song that was inscribed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Day 5
Breakfast. visit Sintra & Palácio da Pena. Fish lunch. Visit Cascais. Return to Lisbon. Evening free. Meal plan:B, L
Sintra
The UNESCO heritage site of Sintra is a place of romanticism and mysticism. It was once the residence of kings, a place that inspired Lord Byron, who called it “the Glorious Eden”. On our walking tour you will learn about the history of
the village and its monuments
Palácio da Pena
Right on top of the Sierra, in the middle of trees and mists, there is a fairy tale palace that will amaze you.
It is a UNESCO site and one of the most beautiful examples of romantic architecture in Europe. The gardens are worth a visit in themselves.
Fish lunch
Drive along the beautiful Portuguese coast with great views and wonderful beaches.
We then stop is a small restaurant that remains a secret well kept by the locals. This place has the best fish and we will accompany it with good wine and a typical dessert.
Cascais
Cascais is a beautiful fishing village where you will learn about the history of pirates and spies.
Founded as a fishing village the years have brought palaces and glamour to this beautiful
village. Kings, queens and aristocrats have fallen in love by Cascais and will quickly understand why.
Free time in the evening
You have the whole evening to enjoy Lisbon. Want some suggestions? Your guide will be happy to give you some pointers
Day 6
Breakfast, visit Azeităo and Arrábida. Return to Lisbon. Portuguese tapas. Meal plan: B, L, tapas!
Azeităo
Here we visit a typical tiles artisan where tiles are still created by hand, the traditional way. You can also get involved and paint your own tile. Our artisan will show you everything you need to know.
Cheese dairy
Of all the amazing Portuguese cheeses, the Azeităo consistantly makes the top three. You will have the opportunity to taste it after seeing how the artisans produce it. Sample a great muscat.
Lunch
Have lunch in the oldest winery in Portugal and taste their amazing wines and the famous moscatel. (Minimum 6 people - alternative options available). Founded in 1834, this winery has a lot of stories to tell. We will enjoy a guided visit to the cellars and learn more about the stage of the wine process. And it is right here that we will have lunch with great local products and, of course, wonderful wine.
Arrábida
Drive along the coast and see some of the most spectacular views of Arrábida. Arrábida is a natural reserve with beautiful views and wonderful beaches. Bring your swimming gear if you fancy a dip.
Dinner
Typical Portuguese tapas and wine in a place that mixes tradition with contemporary cuisine. A perfect way to cap off a delicious tour.
Day 7
Breakfast. Free time (depending on flight time). Transfer to the airport. Meal plan: B
